Happy Halloween, Mysterious Shoppers!

October 20, 2015By Cherry Stowe

For this blog entry, we’ll be channeling Edgar Allan Poe. Oh yes, it’s about to get spooky… Hold on to your witches’ hats, as we discuss the things that make even our fearsome schedulers and excellent editors quake in their collective boots.

What are some of the monstrous foes they’ve had to tackle before? The list runs the gamut from eccentric excuses, to quirky queries, from ghoulish glitches to deathly due dates, and from woeful wording to kooky conundrums. And they never even flinched!!

Dauntless as they may be, there are some matters from which they’d prefer to flee… Indeed, it’s rumored that looming deadlines and the constant race against the ever-ticking clock can drive even the hardiest of schedulers barking mad! Woof woof!!

All mystery shops are to be done on specific rotations and must be finalized by their respective deadlines. Some of these may be monthly, others are bi-monthly, yet others again are quarterly. It’s all up to our schedulers to keep the cogs turning and the shops coming in like clockwork. It all comes down to meticulous planning and tracking… and a preposterous number of post-its!

Schedulers don’t have to go it alone; thanks to marvelous mystery shoppers the assignments keep rolling in, even in October and on Friday the 13th. When you apply for a shop on the job board, always check the available dates carefully, so you are sure to be able to fit it into your schedule. Once the shop is assigned to you, add it to your calendar straight away! Note both the start and the due dates, as these usually allow a range of days on which to complete the work. Leaving the trip to the last minute can spell toil and trouble…

The best trick to keep from spooking your scheduler is to be ready to communicate your questions, quandaries and qualms. Cry out for help and they’ll be ready to rescue you. Likewise keep your scheduler posted on your progress with urgent shops; a quick email can dispel their fears in an instant!

You’ll find that any time of year our schedulers are as sweet as Halloween candy and working with them is a real treat. The same goes for our epic editors, who are used to dealing with eerie errors swiftly and decisively. You can count on them to see you through reporting on even the most intricate of interactions. Avoid horrible homonyms, sickly sentences, spell-check slip-ups, and ghoulish grammar, and you’ll have a real super-duper sidekick in our editors.

No tricks, just treats this month of Halloween from the Pinnacle team!!

Mu-ah-hahaha!!
